What is Check & Connect?

Check & Connect is a student engagement program that works directly with students, their families, and school staff to implement comprehensive strategies that address school success.  Through long-term sustained support, Check & Connect seeks to build a relationship with each student that will serve to enhance and maintain students’ engagement with school, and aid in their progress towards graduation.

How does Check & Connect work?

Students in the program are assigned a Check & Connect monitor to work with throughout the year. This monitor conducts regular check-ins with the student, keeps track of the student's attendance and grades and works with the student, as well as teachers and parents, to develop an individualized action plan for the student
